Freelance journalist, children’s story writer, translator, editor – I’m pretty much into words, you can say. I also draw – but I haven’t touched a brush in months. As of now, I review movies and music on rediff.com as well.
On May 11 2009, Jeffrey Archer released his first ever Tamil translation, “Mudivil Oru Thiruppam,” of his short-story collection: A Twist in the Tale. The translator? Moi, of course.
I have a column in The New Indian Express. It used to be called “Leaves of Chennai”; right now its morphed into “Vintage Vanitha.” Every week, I do a compare and contrast of old and new Chennai.
I write occasionally for Evestouch, Young World – and worked with the Deccan Chronicle’s entertainment section for a couple of months. I also freelanced with Times of India, for a few weeks. A great experience to actually see a newspaper at work.
I contribute to SouthScope, a cool new entertainment magazine that focuses entirely on Southern cinema. The magazine’s published by Allu Sirish, and was launched during Star Vijay’s Kamal Hassan – 50 years of Tamil Cinema celebrations.
layout is nice but difficult to read (on my mac the column is exactly 4.4 cm wide)
